Back in November 2010, what seems like a lifetime ago, Clear Business Outcome was founded with just one consultant and one project manager.

By the end of 2011, we had a 12-strong team of dedicated and experienced Epicor consultants and project managers. Now, as 2018 has well and truly begun, we are reflecting on how far we have come in terms of size, capability and offering. Clear Business Outcome is now a team of 30 people, all with a customer-facing role. 

We have invested heavily in building an academy so that we can encourage the ERP technical and functional talent of tomorrow. We hand-pick graduates with the right aptitude, attitude and ethos in order to supplement our team of senior consultants with young blood who bring a new perspective and new ideas to what we do. Due to success of the scheme, we recently opened a new office in Sunderland, near the university, where all our recruits receive 6 months mentoring and field experience before joining our team.

Over the course of 2017 we also transitioned from being purely an Epicor consultancy partner to a full value-add reseller of the Epicor product. This meant further investment in developing our capabilities. We grew our Support team to better manage the maintenance helpdesk, as well extended support. In Sales, we have looked to grow our team with the right person who would work toward achieving successful projects for reward, in line with our ethos, rather than just being paid to sell software. To help broaden our reach and take our message to new audiences, we have partnered with Inflowing, a marketing agency with strong experience in the technology sector.  

To cater for our relatively rapid growth, we have also taken steps to improve our internal infrastructure as well as our use of the Epicor ERP software suite. We now use Epicor to its full potential as a Case Management system in Support, as well as a CRM system, and of course to manage finance, sales and purchasing.

Recognising the needs of our customers, we have further built on our extended support offering to provide a flexible managed service product. This includes Sentinel – a remote monitoring service which allows us to be more proactive in helping customers optimise their use of both their IT infrastructure and the Epicor ERP system.

We are incredibly proud of what we have achieved over the last 7 years and want to offer heartfelt thanks to our 60+ customers who have stuck with us for their Epicor services and support. It all seems to prove the ethos of our team: that providing excellent service and value for money results in happy customers who are in it for the long run.
